| Press Release – 2/11/09 Elvis is alive and at Ballygarry House Hotel & Spa LAS VEGAS has arrived at Ballygarry House Hotel & Spa and following the huge success of the Wedding Party at the hotel last weekend (Sunday 1st November), a new Vegas Wedding Package is now being offered to couples. In a departure from the traditional Wedding Fayre, the party showcased the various themed Civil Ceremonies and smaller midweek weddings that can be staged at Ballygarry. It was the Vegas Weddings that captured the hearts and minds of the guests and against a Vegas backdrop of lights, slot machines and images of Las Vegas, the Emerald Elvis Mark Leen demonstrated to the guests the fun involved in having a Vegas-wedding. He asked one couple to walk down the red carpet before exchanging their vows which were all Elvis Presley song titles: “Do you promise to Love her Tender and to never step on her Blue Suede Shoes? Do you promise to give a big hunk a hunk of Burning Love and never to give cause to have Suspicious Minds?” So popular was the experience, the General Manager at Ballygarry House Hotel & Spa, Padraig McGillicuddy, said a new Vegas Wedding Package has been devised in response to the Civil Ceremony market for themed wedding receptions. He said the hotel is catering for the increase in bookings from couples who want something different on their big day. Once the couple have performed their civil ceremony in the Registry Office, they can come to Ballygarry to have their Vegas Ceremony with their family and friends in attendance. The new Las Ballygarry Wedding Package includes a civil ceremony in the hotel, a ride in an American Stretch Limo to the Memphian (home of Emerald Elvis) and the couple can get their photo taken at an exact replica of the Graceland Gates. This is all complimented by a Champagne drinks reception at the hotel, a delicious menu, wine, an evening buffet and much more. The entertainment included in the package features a two act show and Lasers Disco, starring the Emerald Elvis incorporating all the fun and razzmatazz that would be seen at a Las Vegas production. Padraig McGillicuddy encouraged couples to contact the hotel to find out more about the new Vegas Wedding Package and to explore the options that are available should they wish to have a themed Civil Wedding at Ballygarry House Hotel & Spa. He expressed his sincere thanks to his staff who organised the Wedding Party and to Mark Leen, Tralee Musical Society, Celtic Rhythm, Idle Bones and JP Murphy who provided such enjoyable entertainment on the day. A percentage of the staff’s wages from the day was donated to the Kerry Hospice Foundation.
