JUGGLE your diary and help put smiles on the faces of disadvantaged children all over Kerry by attending the Grand Charity Bash in the Grand Hotel Tralee on Saturday 1^st October.

All proceeds from the night will go directly to The Smile Project with entertainment from 10 piece Dub Reggae band Avatar, world music and electro percussionists Craiceann and the talents of urban circus legends Lords of Strut.

Event organiser, Con Horgan of the Fanzini Brothers fame, said: “It is heart-breaking to know that there are so many children in Kerry crying out for something that will bring a smile to their faces. The Smile Project brings fun to disadvantaged children wherever they may be.  There is never a budget for fun and we hope that a large attendance at the Grand Charity Bash will help us to put a smile on some young faces.”

The Smile Project, through Magic, Juggling, Clowns, Puppetry and Music aims to create memories that hopefully they will never forget. In 2012, the charity will endeavour to develop relationships with organisations here in Ireland, including Kerry, who already work with children that are lacking in emotional and/or economic support.

Tralee man Con Horgan, was contacted by the charity to travel to Nepal next January to perform his hilarious “Professor Plunger” shows alongside four other noted variety performers, including winner of the Street Performance World Championships, Jack Wise.  The team will perform shows for children in Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal as well as traveling to various remote locations in their efforts to perform 35 shows in two hectic weeks.

Tickets for the Grand Charity Bash at the Grand Hotel Tralee are available at the door for only €8 with all proceeds going to The Smile Project. Doors open at 9pm on Saturday 1^st October with music and fun ‘til late.
