ONCE upon a time in the Kingdom of Kerry, children’s dreams came true and families lived happily ever after because they visited the Tír na nÓg Children’s Festival in Tralee!

Four pretty Princesses – Amy, Ciara, Ciara and Lauren - joined Snow White today in Tralee to announce the details of the 2011 Tír na nÓg Children’s Festival which will take place this Easter, 22nd April – 1st May.

Presented by Holiday Tralee with Fáilte Ireland and Tralee Town Council, there will be something for children of all ages at the Teddy Bears Picnic, Funfair, Princess & Superheroes Tea Party and Easter Egg Hunt while Mums and Dads can enjoy so much more besides.

Kieran Ruttledge of Holiday Tralee asked: “Why wait until Christmas or the summer holidays to give your children a well-earned treat when the Tír na nÓg Festival offers the ideal opportunity for everyone to enjoy an early season break? There will be a host of children’s activities including a Funfair, Parade, Water Zorbing, Panto Horse Racing, Puppet Shows, Pet Farms, Bouncy Castles and much more.”

“Forget about the Irish weather because Tralee is well-equipped to provide alternative enjoyment through the many all-weather facilities at various locations around the town such as the Aqua Dome, Kingdom Greyhound Stadium, Toby World and Kerry County Museum,” he said.

Anyone wishing to visit Tralee for the Tír na nÓg Children’s Festival this Easter and again for the May Bank Holiday weekend should this book early to secure some wonderful family packages in Tralee’s luxurious accommodation providers at www.holidaytralee.com.

Tralee is one of the most accessible towns in Ireland with regular services from Bus Éireann and Irish Rail as well as direct flights between Kerry and Dublin, London Stansted, London Luton, Manchester and Frankfurt-Hahn Airports.
