The PPI Awards (Ireland's Radio Awards) covering the industry in the 32 counties of the island are held annually in October. In 2008, I won the Silver Medal in the highly competitive Best Speech Broadcaster category. It was the second time I had received a nomination in that category after previously being on the shortlist in 2006.
