About John

John Drummey is an award-winning broadcaster, journalist and commercial production manager with 18 years experience in the Irish Broadcast Industry.

In Kerry, John is widely recognised for being an award-winning presenter on Radio Kerry (Straight Talking Programme from 2005 to 2008 and previously in the 1990s Into the Night Programme).

He has also commentated on Munster’s two European Rugby Cup successes in 2006 & 2008.

In recent years he claimed Silver Medal Honours at the PPI Radio Awards for Speech Broadcaster of the Year in Ireland.

John has developed a strong profile in other well-populated regions of Ireland as the Head of News and Current Affairs at Clare FM and CKR FM (Carlow Kildare Radio) and as newscaster with Independent Network News (INN) which provides a national news service to the local radio network in Ireland.
